vitamin C

I am going to start Karmin on vitamin C as I have read it is suggested in puppies. What is the best form of vitamin C to start with and how slow do you have to introduce it to avoid stomach upset?

Ester C, start with 500mg a day and work up to 1500mg (slowly).

Thanks for the response. I am already using probiotics with her as I am switching food (gradually) and trying to avoid any stomach problems from that. Raven (my 5yo dane) had numerous stomach upsets when she was young so trying to avoid that route if at all possible. Hopefully the fortiflora will help avoid any problems when adding vitamin C.
