Honestly, it's generally just not done. Bitch owners come to the stud owners, usually by way of seeing him and/or his relatives in the ring and word of mouth from peers who know the lineage. Bitch owners with established lines know who (what lines) they want to use and can easily find studs just talking with their peers.

The overall consensus of the breeders I know, when seeing an ad that also included an 'at stud' notice, was that it was tacky and the only bitches that would be calling on them would likely not be of the best caliber. I would suggest discussing this with your mentor. They should best be able to advise you on how to properly handle this.
