After being up very very late last night, and being up at the crack of dawn the day before, I woke this morning at around 5am to having my youngest son diving into bed with both my husband and I insisting that the house was falling down. Well, I guess I was THAT tired, I mumbled something about the house being fine and told him to go back to bed, ignoring the fact that the dogs were also active and had barked (something that shouldn't happen early in our house during the summer-but again, I wasn't conscious). My husband didn't stir. Kiddo insisted he was not going anywhere, and after some back to back banter, and pissing and moaning, and just downright determination, to avoid a conflict and to go back to some truly needed sleep, I told him to just lay down. (Thank God for king sized beds)

I wake up this morning, get up and grab a cup of coffee, check my email and DOL, and start off my day with the 800+ errands that needed to be done this morning, not giving a second thought to the early morning wake up call by my son (who BTW was still sleeping, spralled out lengthwise on the king sized bed, when I set of on my errands).

Never turned on the radio in the car, did my errands and finally got back to the house to sit down and do some work. Turned on the midday news for some background noise and what do I hear for the first story?

Maryland had an earthquake this morning. Not a big one, 3.6, but big enough to stir my kiddo out of a dead sleep, and in retrospect, enough to wake 2 of the laziest danes in the country in the middle of the night

Of course, he's sitting in the room with me, and all I've heard is "I told you so", with a real smug look on his face.

He's just like his father, LOL!

edited to add, just went upstairs and all the sheetrock on my ceilings is cracked. There's a huge crack in my bedroom ceiling that goes across the entire room.
