I do as much Great Dane rescue here in
Central, PA as I can. I truly believe in the breed
and have a deep passionate love for these big babies :-) Both of these Danes have been
rescued from abuse, neglect, malnutrition and death ! As of right now Angel(9) and Sage
(the Fawn 5, pictured below)are are VERY strict diets ... life is good for them!

This picture was sent to us by Julie Hyde for her friend Donna Carroll. It is a head shot
of her 7 month old pup..."Indy", who Julie bred, his father is my American

Thanks Leanne.
You have to love my Grand-puppy Danté. I was uploading his picture from my camera,
when 2.5 yo Danté came to help... he took one look at the monitor and then began
yelling at it, trying to frighten the puppy away... :) Lin in Ontario, Canada
Danté goes to visit the seniors at our local
senior centre... this lovely person always
asks to see Danté...Lin in Ontario, Canada
Here is our Miss Olyvia with our little boy Justin. Miss Olyvia is a
little over 2 yo, has no
vision in her left eye and is deaf. Despite that, she is the sweetest Dane there ever
was...Thanks Lin.
Where do Danes sit? Anywhere they want. This is 4mo. old Stanley. Thanks Pam.
Sasha will be 9 yrs old on July 17, 2001 and she is such a lady,
notice the crossed
legs in "the ladies" shot. She is calm and refined but look out if she gets
frisky, she is
VERY FAST so you don't stand a chance of getting away. She loves to just run circles
around you. She has no interest in toys of any kind, unless human!
Missy just turned 5 yrs old on June 5, 2001 and she is anything but a lady. The brown rag
hanging from her mouth (see below) is the all that remains of her original "Alf"
stuffy toy.

I'm sending you a mounting, made by my daughter
Clarissa. Two beautiful heads of my two
precious jewels, GALAXIA and HERZBLATT LIBERTÉ. They will be the foundation of a
new great generation of the DEUTSCHE DOGGEN VON RIPPEL (lcrippel@terenet.com.br).
Many thanks to my dear friend and remarkable breeder, Mrs.Barbara Rettig, owner of the
LIBERTÉ GREAT DANES - GERMANY, as she made my dreams become true...
Lis Rippel.
