The first shows Duke and Gracie cuddled up together. This shot was taken in late
2000, a few months before Duke died at age 9. The text refers to an accident
that Gracie was recovering from. She was hit head-on by a car right in front of
our house, and the humerous bones in both front legs were shattered. Despite
long odds and a very long and intense recovery period, she recovered nearly
100%. But she'll never pass a metal detector with all the hardware in her legs.
We miss Duke more than we can say, and are equally happy to still have Gracie.

This picture shows how Gracie and Duke's cuddling got started. That's her
at about 9 weeks teaching Duke how he should let her cuddle him. He was so
careful of her when she was little it was amazing.

This third picture shows karma in action. That's our newest boy, McA-Dane's Pot O
Gold v Bridane (known to us affectionately as Tank) teaching Gracie how she
should let him cuddle her. Tank's sire is BISS CH. Bridane's PI In The Sky who
was rated #15 in the US in 1998. We have great hopes for Tank. In addition to
being simply gorgeous, he has a wonderful personality and is smart as a whip.
You can see one of Gracie's rather considerable scars in this shot. She has
matching scars on both front legs. But she doesn't let it faze her. She is so
happy to have playmate again she can hardly stand it.
