A LOVING TRIBUTE TO...

"Stetson"

This is my beautiful Stetson. He was born on November the 26th, 1989. I sent him back to GOD on July 10th, 2003. Stetson was just a little over 4 months short of his 14th birthday. I bought Stetson when he was just 5 weeks old. Stetson was my buddy for so long and the tears still flow when I think of him...he is missed so much! 

Stetson never had too many health issues at all. He was lucky. He had a full life and was able to swim in the ocean, near Daytona and also traveled to Canada with us. There is such a void in my life with Stetson gone. It was hard to let him go, last July, but his body was giving out. He hadn't walked for quite some time and my husband, Tom, had built him a cart so he could walk. His front end was starting to weaken over time. It's hard to let them go when their body is giving out, but their minds are still sharp as ever. I hugged & held him and thanked him over & over as he went to sleep for the last time.

He loved to steal my gloves from me on our walks and I'd chase him saying... "give it back!!". In time, he'd be "running" so slow, but I would still let him stay far ahead of me and play the game with him. I love him so much and my heart still aches for him. 

Thank you , Stetson, for so many years of happiness that you gave me, I love you, tweety bird !!!!!!!
