A LOVING TRIBUTE TO...


"Luna"  

I am writing this memorial today to celebrate the life of my legendary Luna Dane. I say she is a legend because she was my first Dane and she was the one who made me realize how wonderful Great Danes are. She had a puppy like spirit in a 10 year old body and an incredible zest for life! I wish I could say that her whole life was trouble free but that was not the case. She survived stomach torsion when she was 6 and survived a horrendous dog fight when she was 9. She also put up with a lot when I started bringing in more rescue Danes but in the end she enjoyed their company and they are missing her now.

I am very saddened by her death but I am happy that she went doing what she loved. Luna had a heart attack while she was outside running & playing. She went quickly and did not suffer. Now, I am left missing my loyal best girlfriend whose spirit can never be replaced. I am so grateful that she was part of my life for 10 years as I needed her more than she needed me. Thank you Luna for gracing me with your love, friendship & beauty. I will never forget you.
