IN LOVING MEMORY
"Cali"
October 27, 2004 to March 31, 2010
This is our beloved Cali, nearly 5 1/2 years old when we had to make the
decision to send her to the Bridge.
Showing signs of illness just 3 short weeks ago, with a very rapid decline
this past weekend, we lost Cali to a large abdominal tumor that was
inoperable.
We first brought Cali home on May 18th 2006, she was 1 1/2 years old at the
time, as a playmate for our male dane, Marshall, who needed someone his own
size to play with. It was a 'trial weekend' to see if they would get along.
Oh my, we had no idea how excited and happy this girl would make our boy and
we had no idea how quickly they would fall in love with each other!!! They
were rarely apart for nearly 4 years.
Cali could always be a little shy at first, when meeting someone new, but
once she met that same person a second time, she never forgot and was no
longer shy. She loved us dearly, she protected us fiercely and we adored her
tremendously.
How deeply she loved her Mommy (Lyn), Daddy (Rick) and Gramma (Lyn's mom).
When Gramma came to visit, you had better be standing far away so she
wouldn't bowl you over to get to Gramma!!! She danced and wiggled and
waggled and pure joy was readily apparent on her beautiful face when loved
ones came home, or came to visit.
She was a well-mannered, well-behaved, beautiful girl and we couldn't have
asked for a more perfect addition to our hearts and home.
Cali, my darling, now you're with Mason, our first Dane. He will be by your
side whenever you need him to be and one day, we will all be reunited again.
We are all aching so very much and knowing that you're no longer in pain
brings us comfort, yet we miss you so very much baby girl.
We will love you forever and a day, sweet Cali.
Lyn, Rick, Marshall and Gramma
