We lost our sweet Mia after just two short years while she was boarded. Mia
passed away suddenly due to bloat. Our lives have been shattered by this
loss - she was a gentle giant - taken from us way too soon.
Mia - It is amazing how many ways you touched our lives. Our house no longer
feels like a home without you. You brought so much love and laughter to our
family. There are so many things that we miss - your floppy ears, beautiful
eyes, loud howling, huge feet, the way you greeted us when we came in, the
way you demanded the fireplace be turned on - even in the summer, the way
you loved to lay in the sun, your nose nudging our hands as we cooked dinner
- the list could go on forever. We miss you more than words could ever
express. We would give the world to have you here - standing on our
shoulders, waking us up at 2 a.m. (every morning!), just to feel your warmth
next to us.
You will always be loved, forever in our hearts, and never forgotten. So
many people were touched by you - the gentle way you welcomed everyone. Our
walls won't know what to do without holes in them from your "happytail"! Mia
we love you and miss you. We hear your phantom howl and laugh - you were our
girl, our Mia - Mia "Full of Grace". Your daddy misses his MiMi - you
brought so many smiles to his face - even when you were tearing up rolls of
paper towels or running off with stolen items from the counters! You are our
angel. Cami misses her big sister - she is so sad without you to chase
after, she loved you so much. You made an imprint on us that will last a
lifetime. Run free sweet Mia, see you at the bridge.
