Coping with pet loss || Grief and pet loss || Pet loss and grieving

A loved one is never truly gone until they are forgotten, live in the hearts of those left behind is to live forever!

I am writing this on the 1 year anniversary of the passing of our precious boy, Magnum.

One year ago yesterday, we brought Magnum in to the vet to be fixed. We called that afternoon to make sure that everything had gone well with the operation. The vet told us that he had already been walking around and that he would be just fine. She said we could pick him up at 10:30 the next morning. You can imagine how excited we were since I am sure you all know how hard it is to be away from these loving dogs!!!

The next morning at 9:15, my husband received a phone call on his cell phone. It was the vet. She didnít know why, but Magnum had passed away in the night. He phoned me at work, and I am sure the whole office heard my screams and cries. He was only 2!

We later came to find out that this tragedy never had to happen. Magnum had died because 3 out of his 6 internal stitches had come loose and he had bled to death. A tragic mistake that cost us the life of our best friend!

We miss him tremendously, as he was our baby but we now have another boy named Titan to fill our lives with joy.

We love you Magnum!
