A loved one is never truly gone until they are forgotten, live in the hearts of those left behind is to live forever!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Great Dane, Lance.

Although he was only with us a short time, he was very much loved & cherished. He will be remembered always.

We wanted to share some pictures of Lance loving life. He was an awesome dog not only in size but also in his heart.

Rest in peace our Lance -A- Roo.

For those of you who would like to know what happened...Lance passed away from bloat which is a torsion of the stomach. It is very common in big dogs such as Danes who have large chest cavities. Lance was 38 inches tall at his shoulders and 180 lbs, a large dog even by Dane standards. There is no known cause of bloat, it just happens. Both Andrew and I were with Lance at the end and he knew how much we loved him. He passed peacefully. It is very difficult for us to talk about it right now so please, just keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
