Jan. 2, 1998 - December 11, 2004
Cyrus was only 6 years old when he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in June of 2004. He was only given 6
months to live even though we immediately began treatment. His condition worsened as he began to retain large amounts of fluid (a sign that his medication could no longer help him).
The last thing we ever wanted was for our best friend to suffer. Cyrus was put to sleep on December 11, 2004. We will never
forget that awful day we had to say good-bye to such a faithful companion.
We miss you everyday Cyrus! Dad & I keep waiting to see you when we walk through that door. Two months have gone by and we still feel such grief. We hope you are having a fun time in heaven with Brutus and that you hear us
every night as we still say "goodnight" to you.
