A loved one is never truly gone until they are forgotten,
...to live in the hearts of those left behind is to live forever!

IN LOVING MEMORY

Anyone who has shared their life with a dane knows the sorrow felt when
they are gone. For eight years my life revolved around my boy Segal--from
what size car I drove, to who I dated, to finding a place to live that he
would fit into. I lost him to Cardiomyopathy on Sept. 7, 2001. Everyone
who met him fell in love with him, me falling the hardest. The Rescue Dane
that someone thought would never make a good companion turned out to be the
greatest friend I could ever imagine. I owe the happiest times in my life
to Segal and Great Dane Rescue. The hoops our danes put us through may
sometimes cause us to question what we got ourselves into. Do not doubt
yourself. These amazing creatures give back more than you can imagine in
love, companionship, and happiness. I love you Segal, and I miss you boy.
