How much did your Spay and Gastropexy cost? (Poll)

We were just quoted $250 for a neuter w/ I am guessing $100 or so more for bloodwork etc, but $1500-2000 for the pexy done separately. Haven't found out why she likes to do them separately yet but will ask at consult time if we decide to go with her.

This is with an "estimated weight" for Zoomer at 120lbs. The pexy cost threw me for a loop, to be honest. But this is Los Angeles soooo.....

Ours will be $800. That includes pre op blood work, neuter, pexy, take home meds. Plus, the city will give me a $70 voucher for having him altered and being in city limits. Bonus! So grand total of $730 for my 19 month old boy that's weighing about 125-130.

Kumah just had hers yesterday, she's 90.2lbs at 1year9months. For the pre-op bloodwork, 10 days of take home meds, spay, pexi, microchip, and a yeast infection in her right ear (that I didn't know about) that they treated for free. My total was $691.73. My vet gives me a quote of the high end (which was $740) and the low end ($650) so I know kind of what to expect, and this fell about 50 dollars below the high end of the quote.

I just got a quote to get my dane neutered and gastropexied(with blood work included). I was actually surprised how cheap it was because I was preparing to spend $500+ on the gastropexy procedure.

Breakdown for what I was told:

$110.50 for neuter
$180 for gastropexy
$50 for bloodwork

Not bad at all, planning on getting it done in 2 weeks. He's 4 years old, I'm assuming that's not too late to get any of the above done

Does that include anesthetic too? That's about what I paid for the neuter and pexy too, but anesthesia was another big chunk.

Willow's spay (spay only) at one vet would cost almost $300, but at another vet I'm going to in April it is going to cost $200, and that includes anesthetic and pain meds. She will be 14 months in April. She's 85 lbs now, at 10 months, so idk how much she will be in April. Hopefully 100 lbs.

$371.70... 128lbs and it took a lot to get her down. Still it was almost $300 less than getting 1 of the boys Zeuterized in the "Big City" and that was just a sedative and an injection!

I just picked my girl up on tuesday from her pexy/spay that turned into a 4.5 hr foreign body removal from her stomach, not funny when one vet calls while the other vet has your dog open on the table
so our estimated 1100 surgery ended up costing 2082 out the door.
thank god i got ins on her, it wont cover the spay/pexy as it is elective but they should cover the gastrotomy for foreign body removal
