  • "Hot Spot" - Bitter Lotion

My boy has developed a "hot spot" on to inside of hit front right leg. He has licked it enough that there is a spot with no hair and it has started to bleed.

It is an easy thing to curb when I am around. He will not lick infront of me since he knows I will tell him to "stop licking". But, when I am gone to work I inevetable come back to a "bloody foot".

I recently ran across a product called "bitter lotion". It is like bitter apple but in a handy spray bottle that you spray on the "infected" area.

I sprayed it on a cut I had on my finger, and although it stung a little I found it bareable, and after licking my finger and having that C*@p on my lips all day I can say that it stopped me from licking myself :P

Just wondering if anyone has any advice about the problem of experience with the product.

    Thanks in advance

It works on some dogs and I've had some that will just lick it off.

I haven't tried it, but have you tried plain old Neosporin?
