  • Double Jointed Puppy

My 1 year old girl, Stella, can manuver her front legs to create a pillow for her head. It's hard to describe but she looks like a person with a bent elbow using their forearm to rest their head. She is extemely tall--much taller than my other Danes so perhaps that's why she's able to bend this way.
Stella comes to work with me and we always hear comments about her legs. Has anyone out there seen this?---Just curious!

Of course, she would not cooperate and lay like this last night for a picture--but I've attached one from 7 months. The left leg is bent inward. She will then bend her lower leg outward and lay her head in the "V". I'm not sure this makes sense--but it does look quite unusual.

She's my third Dane and the first to bend this way. She definitely has a different build than my fawn girls. She is all legs and body and skinny!! My other two were much more muscular.

                Thanks, Justin

She is a complete sweetie too!! The bendy elbow thing just makes her that much more "human".

She is beautiful! My current foster will lay similar to that (but a little more pronounced with the elbow). He looks uncomfortable the way his shoulder and elbow is and will often will fall asleep with his head erect, more or less being supported by that shoulder and arm. Still not sure if this is what you are referring to so when you can post a candid shot, please do.
