We got Winston in October and I made a little "horse" blanket to keep him warm when he was little. Before the next winter I started my search for a coat that I could buy for him, but he didn't need it. He doesn't mind the cold much. He is such a baby that I thought he would not enjoy the cold, but he LOVES the snow and does great in it.Melisa, Bentley and Ella

I'm in Wisconsin too! I got my current dane in December so she wasn't outside much until this summer. Last winter she only went out to do her business and came right back. I'm curious how she will handle this winter. My previous dane didn't mind the snow at all. My AmStaff will limp if he's outside more than a few minutes, but the dane couldn't care less if it was cold out! Here she is running in the yard.

My Dane doesn't like other dogs, so I'm not in the know as far as meet ups or groups. I do have some other Dane friends that are local that I met at a dog park when Zoey was a puppy. Dog parks are good for meeting other owners that way, although I'm not completely pro dog park. My first Dane learned alot of bad behaviors at the dog park!MandiComment
