    meet in chattanooga.

This saturday, 7pm-9pm, DOGood at Greenlife grocery. All breeds welcome, however, several danes are usually there. Great op to meet and greet other dane owners.

So I'm just now reading this and it sounds like nothing ever came of it. Would anyone be willing to brave the cold one of these upcoming Saturdays to romp with other danes? Elvis and I visit the Shelby dog park multiple times a week and see danes about 1/5th of the time. I've been wondering about the Percy Warner Park as well. Throw out a date and chances are I'll be there!

I believe Shelby is about 2 hours from me but will have to look into it.
VAL hasn't been back to the dog park, except once, since she got attacked last year. It was very bad, she had a punctured lung which required surgery and sever lacerations to her neck , chest and legs which required sutures also. Since then she has been fearful of or over assertive to any pit bull type dogs, even boxers etc and I fear it will cause another fight. We are still working with her relentlessly. Its impossible to explain to her thathe dog who attacked her's owner was the one at fault for the attack. it is so war considering the dog park used to be her favorite place to go every weekend. Now we have been sticking to on leash socialization on our doggie days out like dog walks and pet stores etc.
Arkin, however would have a blast

Aw poor Val, that sounds traumatic. My experience at Shelby has been nothing but good. Most of the dogs seem balanced, and owners tend to intervene when unwanted bullying begins. I'd be willing to drive if we agree to meet-up somewhere closer to the general group. I don't think there are many Nashvillians on here.

I don't think so either. I am in Montgomery county but I don't mind a little drive. Anyone else interested?

                Hi!

So I know this thread was started a few years ago. I posted on the intro forum. Hubby and I live near Nashville and just got our baby dane a month or so ago. Would love to do a playdate! PM me if interested!
