This Thursday we are having a Great Dane Date at Waterfront Park. We all try to socialize our Big Kids with dogs of the same size, and its going over very well! Our dogs have made some GREAT friends and so have the parents!! We only ask that you have well behaved, non-aggressive dogs, that are up to date on shots. We have some younger pups in our group and any non-vaccinated or sick dogs are encouraged to refrain until they are UTD or feeling better. We dont care if they are spayed or neutered, as one of the girlies is the group is expecting pups in a few weeks! We will be meeting on the Great Lawn at 7:30 pm Thursday, July 1. We are making it a weekly event!! Last Thursday went well and we feel like it can just get better!!! If you are interested in getting more information about our weekly large group outing, or want to set up some smaller group walks or play dates, please become a fan of Ohio Valley Dane Club on Facebook as we do the majority of our planning through that site.

We are a group of PET OWNERS who want to socialize our dogs, get advise on how to best take care of the breed, and make new human and canine friends. We do not have any affiliation with the AKC, CKC, or any official registration organization. My personal Danes are not registered, and many in the group are not either. Many of the dogs are spayed or neutered. WE DO NOT offer puppy sales through the group, but will happily take in UNWANTED Danes, or abandoned or sick Danes, and myself and my boyfriend personally foster these animals, and provide all necessary care.
