  • Senior Female - Salem OR

Oh look at this poor girl! Nine years old and suddenly her family didn't want her anymore.
I hope she gets a great home.

That makes me sick....I just don't see how people can do that. The picture below is my 9 year old girl...I can't imagine giving her away!

Dam* Ali I knew I should not have looked at her. How sad at any age to be dumped..but as a senior??

I also have a 9 year old gal and can't imagine what she would be thinking if she was thrown away like yesterday's garbage. People x( x(

I knew too, I shouldnt have looked!

Obviously her owners dont have a heart. I cant imagine anyone doing that to their companion!
Its also why I couldnt work at a shelter. I could never quietly take a dog like that without some violent words for the owners.

I really don't get something like this. How can you have a dog for 9 years, and just dump them? 9 years of love, and this is how they pay her back...how sad.

Gosh, if I knew that she would be okay with my young crew, I would think about taking her! I'm afraid she would be overwhelmed with 4 young active dogs and a toddler. ;(

I hate to see seniors without a home.

Savanah, my female Golden, was dumped by her "owner" after she had had her since she was 8 wks. old, (Savanah was almost 10 yrs. old when we got her). Her new husband didn't want her around, so...out she went.....right into our arms.

And you can bet....we will NEVER let her go! She's been a ray of pure sunshine in our home.

Anyone know anything else about this girl? Tried getting on the website for this rescue but it says under construction, and I've emailed twice with no response??

If you call her she is right at home. I wanted her but DH said no. When I spoke with her last Friday she still had her. SHe is living with other dogs and 2 kids VERY peacefully. She sounds absolutley wonderful!!
