Do the ears keep growing after cropping? Basically when do the ears stop growing

The ears will grow, but not in proportion to the rest of the head. That's why ears that look soooo long and silly on a puppy end up looking normal on an adult once they grow into them.
At 11-12 weeks

I knew that the 'head' would grow. Just wondered if the 'optimal' cropping age had to do with the ears not growing longer.
