I have a four month old female who has a beautiful crop (was done when I got her). I met with a breeder locally who gave me lessons on how to post her ears. She is not my first dane and I spent so much time with my previous dane going back and forth to the vet, never mind money. Anyways, what is happening now is that we also have a 6 month old mastiff puppy and with the playing that they do, they are wreaking havoc on her ears. Within a few days the base is out and the posts are flopping forward. I took her ears down and they are leaning forward. I am using tampons, Zonas tape and glue. I am afraid that this is how her ears will end up. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am in Massachusetts and with my last dane drove to Dr. Truesdale (2 hr roundtrip) for the postings, however, he used a similar method. Is there a more solid way to post her ears that will withstand her playing with her pal? I hate to separate them all the time as they are quite bonded.
Thanks
