  • Taping uncropped ears up??

I was browsing another forum and came across two pictures of a great dane with uncropped ears that stood. They were apparently taped up to stand and they did. Is this even possible? It was a strangely interesting looking Dane.

I have no clue if it works, but I always wondered if Ivys would. They are little to start and try to stand up by themselves all the time.

WEIRD. Can you find those pics and post them? I'm curious!

And I'm having problems getting my dog's cropped ears to stand. I shoulda just left them natural and taped 'em!

Exactly my thoughts...giant mutated chi! Not sure why anyone would do that on purpose - danes are so regal, and IMO this is just a mockery of the breed and what it stands for. It's like they say: natural ears beat a bad crop any day. Now where does this fit into the equation????

If I seen this dog on the street Great Dane certainly wouldn't pop into my mind. The ears just throw everything off!

Wow. That is sad. Danes are so magestic and fearsome looking with cropped ears. That poor dog looks like a cartoon come to life.

I showed my husband the pics and all he said was "that is so wrong". It is really cute sometimes when Shyann perks her ears up and they're only flopping at the tips but ....

Did they say they taped them? I am thinking the ears stood (looks more like a mix than a dane) on their own, why would anyone do that?
