    If a dog is already vamped up and the adrenaline is flowing, throwing fear at them may cause the dog to turn on you. Dogs have been known to turn on their owners during a fight when they are trying to break them up-- hence why your better off using an object to break up a fight.

      I would check thyroid levels on both of them too. Hypothyroidism can cause behavioral changes as well
