    You can't do both. One or the other. Each one has to be done instantly when the behavior first begins to occur. You can't do two things instantly. It has been my experience in the past that if you use the water bottle, the dog will soon run whenever she sees you reach for the bottle. I just don't like the bottle method. Whichever method you choose, use only one.
