  • Nationals in Lancaster - Newbie questions!

Ok, my family and I will be camping at the Old Mill Stream Campground in Lancaster on Oct 26,27,& 28. We wanted to stop in at the show, but have NO idea what to expect. We have never been to a dog show of any kind, only watched the ones on tv.

Is there a schedule of events? I haven't seen one that posts times and things.

Is there anything (aside from visiting the DOL booth, which we have already planned to do) that we absolutely HAVE to see?

I will have my children with me, ages 6 & 9? Will that be a problem?

Is it acceptable for me to bring my 4 mth old pup with me?

Hhmm, I know I had more questions than this.... I'm sure I'll think of them!

Judging goes on throughout the day.

We look forward to meeting you.

Just make sure the kids are respectful to the entrants, and make sure they ask before petting any dog.

    >Is it acceptable for me to bring my 4 mth old pup with me?

    I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks, I won't have a ton of time to spend there, so this helps alot!
