I would like to get more information on showing? I have never showed and would like to learn the "ropes".

    RE: Learning to show

    Jen,
There are some good books on dog shows - you can simply go to http://www.amazon.com and search "dog shows" and a few should come up. They are just generic books that give you the basics - how they work, etc. Just read up on dog shows, attend some and talk to a few folks to get the "feel" for them. And talk to a variety of people, too - even some in different breeds. Once you do this and still think you'd like to show, the second step and really fun part comes around to find a show potential pup. This can be such a wonderful learning experience, so take it slow - don't let folks bring you down or let negativity burden you

Some Great Dane Clubs sponser handling classes which is a good place to learn to show your dane. Also, some obedience classes also teach a conformation class. I would start there and see what you come up with.
