    Dog bed recommendations

We're looking for recommendations for dog beds for our two Danes (185-lb 23-month male, 130-lb 9-month female). We've gone through three of LL Bean's XL "Premium Dog Couches" (http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/66388), w/ each of them ripping at the seams. Other than regular/human mattresses, any recommendations for beds/couches that can withstand the use of our two babies. Thank you!

We have dog beds everywhere but I am finding that Phineas is getting so big for even the largest beds we bought from Petco. I found these and plan on just buying 4 (1 for each room)... they are a great price and cheaper then most dog beds!

Deuce has one bed that we purchased and two that were made for him. He uses all of them. We have one that we made which is similar to JAM's bed, with a removable cover for washing. We also purchased one of these

He has had this bed for quite a few years and still uses it and it is very comfortable. The biggest pain with the homemade bed and the mammouth bed are that the covers are a PITA to take off and wash and put back on.

This is the other bed that hubby built, we purchased a human double/full size foam mattress which we cut in half and it fits right in. We use human twin size flat sheets and throw blankets to tuck around the mattress so that they are super easy to take off and wash/rotate. Deuce uses this bed all the time and it is the easiest to keep clean

We use a futon mattress for bellas bed. instead of it being a full size we fold it in half so it's thicker. We also put a plastic mattress pad over it just incase there is any accidents. We found the futon from a garage sale for like 20$. Hope this helps

It's probably not what you want to hear but I couldn't find anything that I liked locally and decided to make my own. It's 5 feet long and about 3 feet wide, egg foam and a memory foam topper. I spent about 30 minutes on it this evening and it's really comfy.

    Check it out:

The best beds I have ever bought for our danes, were purchased from a vendor at the National.
I believe they are based out of Michigan.. maybe? can't remember the name
They sell several different types of beds and they are amazing! I ended up bringing 4 of them home!
and very affordable. Can't wait to buy more at the next National!

We went to Tractor Supply and bought 2 of their XL dog beds, Xim and Sprocket both love them and so far they are holding up great.
