  • ***Where to find a giant crate?***

You guys know of a good deal on a giant crate? Websites please? The cheapest I've seen is on EBay for 192 shipped... 54Lx35Hx45w

I would call your local pet stores and see if they have any in their stock rooms. I say this because Petco had one they were trying to get rid of, and ended up marking it down to 97 bucks!

I would start there. Before I found that steal, I found the same one on Petco's site for $173 included the pan, and free shipping. Not sure if it had the divider.

    HTH. Best of luck!

I would try Craigslist or your local classifieds. Occassionally, you'll run across one in there, but, I've run across a couple of people that didn't know their measurements well LOL

Thank you all! Yea I've been checkin craigslist but no luck. Im in central coast California and will try to call some stores today! I noticed though that to most people, 48" is considered their xxl crate lol. Ive been to petco and the local stores here but haven't seen a 54" on display. Will make some phone calls today

I bought the first one from E-Bay and it wasn't a bad price. They have gone up since. The second one I got from PetCo (on line) with free shipping & I found a code on the internet for more $$ off. I have 2 of the MidWest XXL (54 L x 37 W x 45 H) Crates forgot the actual model number. Both of mine have the double doors.

So tonight I got one from Petsmart for $159 + tax = 173 bux.

I tried the petco online (156.67 Shipped) but had trouble at checkout with my computer

                          Luckily m local Petsmart had the Midwest 54 x 37 x 45

Took me an hour to build! LOL things getting tangled up etc...

Doesn't look sturdy though and no divider but i guess its ok. I just hope Mello doesnt destroy it.

Anyway, thanks to all of you!!!

                          Crate problem solved!

I wish i would have seen this post sooner! I got my crate (Midwestern Life Stages XXL) from an online store at Hayneedle.com - i combined their already low prices with a coupon code that I found on Retailmenot.com and spent a total of $98.99 (including shipping) on my huge crate that came with a divider panel. It's sturdy, well made, and is the same brand that you find at most retail chain pet stores and even most independent pet stores (for almost half the price.) If its not too late, i'd return the one you bought and check out hayneedle.com.

Isn't the Midwest Life Stages XXL crate only 33" tall? It looks like you can find that same crate several places online for around that price (or a little cheaper).

The Midwest Colossal or Ginormous crates (45" tall) appear to be $260-290 (before coupons) on that site.
