I love that with good training, the biggest dog at the park can be the best dog at the park. They truly do put all the misbehaved ankle-biters to shame!

I also love how danes seem to bring a smile to people's faces.

LOL. That's what I tell everyone when they ask "what would you want a dog that big for?" I tell them it's b/c I'm lazy and don't like to bend over to pet my dog.

Cause other dogs may love their owners but a Dane is in love with his owner. I have the flu and Dudley would not leave my side all day yesterday he just went potty then right back next to the bed with mommy!!! My bull dog didn't give 2 poops lol I love my Dane!!!!

I love how confident I feel walking her and taking her into a pet store. The compliments I receive and the comments "I always wanted a Dane, but my husband wouldn't let me" stroke my ego a bit, I am not going to lie. It took a lot of convincing to get my husband on board with Lola. We went to pick her up together, which helped. I also like walking into a room and see him petting her or even playing with her on his terms.

He always wants to take her outside to watch him shovel since she follows him around and acts like she is afraid of the shovel, but then "attacks" it when he has snow on it. Or when she jumps on a snow hill and puts snow all over the place he just shoveled. Or when they run around the backyard in the snow, since our Beagle doesn't last too long outside before he wants to go back in. We have to convince Lola to come inside.

He likes her the majority of the time, so I just have to do my part to work on the training so he likes her 100% of the time. He doesn't have a lot of patience (one of the reasons why kids are not in our future) for things that annoy him, like one of her favorite squeaking toys or when she drops a hard toy on the wood floor to make a loud noise. But when she brings back that tennis ball he threw across the room, I think his heart melts a little bit.

I also think Danes are the best because it taught my husband that a "large breed" dog can still be a good dog.

I have major low back problems- I have Danes because bending over to pet a "normal size" dog hurts to much. Then when I need to stretch my back, I just lean on them as a balance board. PERFECT height!

1. I love that they want to be right in the middle of everything I'm doing and that they are big enough to do it.

2. I love that they think that everybody that comes to our house comes to visit them.

3. I love that I need to have a towel to "Clean Up" after they get done giving me kisses.
