Well behaved danes are not born. They are “made” by responsible and caring dane owners.

This is so lovely; it brought tears to my eyes. In part because it made me think about my rescues. They are both gone now, one more than 12 years, although I still feel the heart connections. We will rescue again; we kind of alternate how we find our dogs and Whisper is from our favorite breeder. In the meantime, we have stopped giving Christmas presents and make rescue donations instead. But mostly the tears are because I think you are right, it is one more chance someone will pay attention and think if all those people could do it, so could I. Bless you, Paul.

This is awesome! Raising awareness is key for sure. I have rescued several dogs, no danes though. I'm sure hoping our next dane will be a rescue.

From a rescue organization, no. From an abandoned crate on the side of the road, yes.
