  • Can NOT find a good lead for show training! Grrr!

Okay, so I need some help. Does anyone know where I can find a good thin slip lead online? They dont sell them at any of the pet store in my general area, and the one I bought from dogs.com is sooo thick. Dayna is 3 months old and I'm trying to start stacking her. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

My breeder uses Mendota slip leads. The one she gave me is rather thick, but they may have thin ones, too. Check Mendota.com.

I like J and J. They have a couple of different slip leads. I'm not familiar with show training, but maybe you'll find something there??

I took a look at the slip leads on dog.com--they appear to be 1/2". thick.....the ones at JJ and MendotaProducts.com are either 3/8" or 1/2". Good luck!!

The one I bought was 1/2". It's simply not flattering, if anything it's distracting!

IMHO the best place to buys show lead for your girl is at a show. That way you can try it on her and make sure that you like it before you buy it and you can also make sure she is comfortable with it as well. I bought both of Dreamer's leads at shows and I definitely like them more than the 3 I bought online.

That is a GREAT tip, I appreciate it! We are going to a show in Oct (closest one coming in our area) I will certainly check that out.

i second this opinion. i bought my lead at the show. paid a decent price for it too. i like the idea of buyiing it there cuz you can see what its going to feel like in your hands before you take it home.
