Harley continues to delight and amaze me. For instance this morning he sat so that he could scratch his ear and while doing so, he fell over backwards. Puppy awkwardness at work. He decided to forego the ear scratch and instead, stretch out in front of the oscillating fan. Yes, the very same fan that he recently viewed as an unwelcome intruder into HIS space. In spite of the hot, dry forecast for yesterday, we had a significant amount of rainfall at about 8:00 pm. It was enough to drop the temperature from 98 degrees to 84 degrees in just a few minutes. When the rain ceased, I let the boys out and Harley went nuts. He loved the cooler, damp weather and tore around the yard for 20 minutes just being a happy puppy without a care in the world. One of the daily comic strips that I enjoy, "For Better or for Worse", featured a story line today about the family dog. It concluded with the line that dogs are a great invention. Ain't it the truth!
