Requesting Northern VA Vet Recommendations

Hi!

We are adopting a 5 year old Dane next Sunday. We live in Alexandria, VA. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a vet with experience with Danes near us in Northern VA.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

My family is moving to Alexandria next week. We have a three year black female and will be interested to hear about any vet recommendations. Also since we will be living in a townhome we be at dog parks frequently so if you you interested in your dane playing with another dane let me know.

Vet Recommendations

I ended up going with Caring Hands Animal Hospital at their Arlington location (it's right on the border of Arlington and Alexandria). One of my friends is a vet there. I don't go to her because I'm an overprotective dog mom and I don't want to drive her crazy. I see Dr. de la Cruz and he is great. My friend's name is Dr. Dennehy and she is great too.

We live in Del Ray in Alexandria, so we pretty much stick to the dog park on Monroe Ave. and the Shirlington dog park in Arlington. The Shirlington park is a lot bigger (http://www.yelp.com/biz/shirlington-park-arlington) and the Monroe Ave. park (426 E. Monroe Avenue) is the closest to us.
