Hi! I am from Oklahoma too. I have never posted. I am not sure where you live but on Heartland Great Dane Rescues website they have a list of vets in Oklahoma that are knowledgeable of Danes. I live in Lawton,Ok and my vet has several dane patients, what she dosen'tknow herself she is willing to call a specialist and find out. I take my girls to Gore West Animal Hospital.

hello!! I have taken my pups to a couple of places and not had really good luck, but I can tell you of a couple. I live in Oklahoma city so I currently take them to the Council vet it is on Council and nw 23rd. The main vet is the husband to one of my biology teachers from high school and they have really reasonable prices and long hours. I got both of our danes spayed and neutered there without problems, but they won't tack the stomach down if you want that is the only down side. Also, on NW Expressway and almost council there is a vet called Harvest Hills. I have not gone there yet because they are quite pricey, but a lot of the people who work there have danes and know a lot about them and they will also tack the stomach down, but it was about double to get a spay than at council vet. Any questions please let me know I have gone through everything with these babies!!

What part of the state do you live in, that might narrow it down. We take ours to Woodland West Animal Hospital in Tulsa, OK. A couple of vet techs own Danes and the best part is they have 24/7 emergency care.

I love my vet, and she is amazing with my dane. I know several vets from being in the livestock business, and a life long dog owner and sarah smith at the catossa small animal hospital is the BEST! I love having her available to me seven days a week, 24 hours a day just in case. They are also open on sat. and have a super nice boarding facility there too. If you are in the Tulsa or surrounding area you will not find a better vet.

we bring our babies to Quail Creek Vet. Dr. Doug and Dr Beth Ruby are the best! Their address is 2915 NW 122nd OKC phone # 755-0746

We use to live on the NW side of OKC but moved to the SE side and we kept going to Quail Creek. We love them and the staff is wonderful.

This is my first post...guess I need to put up pictures of my babies....well...we lost two great danes, 2 weeks apart, one from heart failure...he was almost 9 years old .... and one from ruptured disc....she would have turned 8 this Dec.

I took Maggie to see her today. I cannot say enough good things about her. I FINALLY found someone who understands my concerns, and is willing to explain things in a way I can understand. If you live in this part of OK do yourself a favor and check her out!
