Any good vets in Glendale/Phoenix?

DextersMomma - who is a member here - is a vet in Queen Creek. I know it is a bit of a distance, but she is also a dane mom and treats this breed and is a great asset to the forum. At the very least, she might be able to help you find someone closer. Also...did you check the vet recommendations threads? Post in the Introductions, too!!

Thank you for the responses! I PMed DextersMomma a few days ago, but she mentioned that she would be moving again soon and that she didn't have anyone to recommend in the west valley.

I will definitely check out Dr. Weaver! That is about 30 minutes for us, but it is worth the drive to have a good vet!

I'd introduce myself, but I don't actually have anyone to introduce yet! I've been in contact with some breeders and am looking into finding a dane, but I'm not sure when we'll actually have one to introduce.

Is Dr. Weaver still at the Squaw Peak Animal Hospital? I have a puppy buyer moving to this area very soon.

Does anyone know if this clinic is 24 hours?

Great Dane vets in Metro Phoenix

There are two really good Great Dane vets in the local Metro Phoenix area:

Animal Hospital at Grayhawk, North Scottsdale Road, Dr. Stan Howard. And Arrow Animal Hospital, 51st Avenue and Thunderbird, Arrow has several doctors with Great Danes in their practice.

We Dane owners prefer a vet with 'Dane' experience.

Both vet clinics have Great Dane breeders and show people come in from all over the state.

Dr. Weaver had also been my vet for years, a great man and a wonderful veterinarian. He has, drat, retired.

I have taken my black show Dane to Dr. Howard, he is great. I have spoken with the AI vet at arrow about my Female Dane, she will probably go there if I decide to breed her again.

I can second Arrow Animal Hospital. This is where we've ended up taking Tristan, and they are fantastic. We especially love Drs. Sherrell (who performed Tristan's surgery when he broke his leg) and Dr. Willms. We've seen several of the doctors, though, and been pleased with all of them.
