  • Bad, Stinky Gas!!

Ok, Jax has HORRIBLE gas! I thought it was supposed to be better with raw?!? For us, it has gotten a lot worse since starting. It's disgusting AND it smells funky, like very grassy or something.

The other thing is that he's licking around his butt A LOT. Could these two have anything to do with each other? Does he maybe need his anal glands expressed?

    Thanks!

    raw

Yes, probably on the anal glands. Give a probiotic for awhile after starting raw. Put two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar in his meat meals. This will aid in digestion until his body kicks in.

Ok. Thank you. I will grab a probiotic. In regards to the ACV, is there a difference between raw and regular? I see that the one I bought does not say raw, and he won't touch his water when I put that in it.

I use the raw, cloudy kind with the Mother. You may have to start with just a tiny bit in the water and work up. I use it daily to keep Ximmy's acid bal up to aid in preventing Urinary tract infections as well as aiding digestion and providing an extra bit of vitamin c

          raw

Raw has all the minerals in it which regular vinegar doesn't. Try putting it in his food instead of water. Maybe he won't eat his food with it in there. One of mine won't. He just does without vinegar. It will benefit him if he will eat it in his food. You can get raw vinegar at a health food store or in the organic section of a grocery store if you shop in one that has it.
