just want to alert others - "Safe around pet" label doesn't mean that the product is safe to use around pets. Last week we put on some grass seeds, to cover those yellow spots on the lawn. When we bough the seeds, I though it has only grass seeds; but it was seeds with fertilizer/seed booster. The package was named something like "dog spot lawn repair kit", and had "safe to use around pets" label.
Now both dogs are sick - not eating and throwing up. Younger one, who plays in the grass more, got sick earlier - but first I though she isn't eating because of false pregnancy. Now both dogs aren't eating.. I took them to the vet of course, and vet called the company who made those "grass repair kit" and asked about ingredients.
Apparently this fertilizer is not poisoning, but still it can cause nausea and upset stomach.
Now I need to figure out how to remove it from the backyard - it's all around the grass...
