  • Cirrhous Infiltrating Carcinoma

Thank you to everyone who has sent their kind words and for keeping my sweet boy in their prayers! It is VERY appreciated!!!!

I got the path report and Woo's dx is Cirrhous Infiltrating Carcinoma...so far I cannot find anything regarding this dx and canines????

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of using FOOD GRADE hydrogen peroxide therapy to oxygenate the cells??? Apparently cancer cells HATE oxygen and since I HATE cancer I'm prepared to hurt it!!!!

**Hydrogen Peroxide therapy is VERY controversial and the amount you give for internal therapy is MINIMAL**

Also, does anyone in/or near WA state know of a reputable Vet. oncologist?

Thank you again for any and all help/advice!!!!!

    Cancer

Cancer feeds off carbs so you might want to drop the kibble and go to a raw food diet.

      Thanks! What about complex carbs?

I'm convinced that processed dog foods are the root of all evils!!! Ever since I started him on a homemade diet his skin has cleared up (he used to have irritation on his belly) and his dry eye is completely GONE! It's pretty amazing how much is affected!!!

        Google this instead:

        scirrhous infiltrating carcinoma, dogs

        or

        scirrhous carcinoma, dogs

You'll find several articles, but many are from journals and not written for the lay person. It should give you a start thought. I don't know anything of any vets on the west coast, but you might also consider a holistic vet depending on what you find out your options are.

My thoughts are with you as I've lost several canine kids to different forms of cancer. Keep us posted.

          Complex Carbs

I assume you mean brown rice? Dogs don't have a need for any kind of carbs in their diet.

This is the site of a holistic Vet that will answer your questions on line. Maybe you could type in your problem and see if he can help you with what to do. I do agree, that I too would try a holistic Vet.

I am not really familiar with this type of cancer. I will email my Oncology clinicians for a little more information and possibly a vet to visit.

Carol ~ I was wondering about sweet potato's, pumpkin, etc??? Currently, along with chicken I add pumpkin, cottage cheese, yogurt, blueberries, apple, celery... so I'm wondering about the complex carbs affects on these cancer cells?!?!

Thank you for all of your helpful posts! I'm sooo appreciative!

So one of the Oncology residents said that the term scirrhous is used to describe tissue that has a lot of collagen and fibroblasts. I can be a met lesion or it could be the primary tumor. That term itself is not prognostic but your vet has more info than I do, so I suggest you talk to him further for your options.

HTH! Sending good thoughts to you and Husker Doo!
