OMG!!! He is getting better!!! He's been on the very low does of prednisone since Wed night now and friday we started to seem some small improvements. On our walk he was bending his knee and lifting his leg forward to take a step instead of just swinging his leg out to the side and around to the front. He is looking less and less like a drunken sailer when he moves. He no longer just rockets himself down the stairs he can actually walk more controled down them...without falling!!!
He is also not slipping and sliding on the hardwood floor, unless he has hit one of his drool spots Thought I am doing my very best to mop them up as soon as it happens. But hey, even I will fall if I hit one!
He no longer holds his tail between his legs on our walks, but seems much more alert and bright with his tail up and wagging. His walk seems much more smooth, not as choppy and clumbsy.
We have been keeping him on leash since early last week but sometime this week we will let him off for a short run, like 2 mins, just to see how he moves because that's when we noticed his clumbsyness the most. So that will be a big test for him to see how he moves off leash.
I am still going to switch vets but right now am just so happy he is heading in the right direction.
Thanks everyone for all the help and comforting words.
