I also need to mention that my husbands GSP pup went winners Bitch. She was owner handled by my husband who has never stepped foot in a ring before (other then 1 match 2 months ago) and has never had a handling class or even ahd an interest in showing in conformation!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! What an exciting holiday weekend you are having. Post pictures. Please . I would love to see how awesome Banjo looked, the GSP's too. I give your husband credit because in my experience GSP's are NOT EASY, lol. I used to have a liver and a liver and white (Hawk and Beau). I think they are beautiful animals.

My DH has never taken one bit of interest in showing. He will go make sure I'm set up ok for the weekend and maybe watch my class and then leaves and doesn't come back until the end of the show weekend to help pack up. He is a hunter and is very involved with NAVHDA. This same GSP bitch won her NAVHDA Prize 1 In Natural Ability at the age of 6 months. He was encouraged by several people to try her in conformation. She has an awesome free stack and movement to die for. She is an incredible bitch. She's the type dreams are made of if you own GSP.
There was a judge and another person ringside that were talking and I was standing behind them. The judge was remarking what a nice bitch Aspen was..the other lady was remarking that yes she was nice but the handlers was only a newbie and made a lot of handling errors and was up agaisnt already pointed dogs & seasoned professional handlers so wouldn't get anywhere. The judge said "we shall see, in the end the best dog will win" and Aspen won!! The ringside judge went up to Paul, congratulated him, commented on Aspen and even gave him some handling tips which I thought was great.

Sorry this became non Dane related but I'm really proud of DH and his pup. :0
