My older boy was about 33 1/2 inches at that age, if I remember right, and then grew another half-inch by around 1 year. Then kept growing slowly, and then he hit a growth spurt just a few months ago at around 14 months and is now sitting at about 35 inches at 18 months. His breeder tells me that his sire had a growth spurt at 5 years old and gained some more height, but I can't recall how much she said it was.

My youngest Dane is around 34 inches now, but has grown like a weed since December, so I anticipate that he'll get quite a bit taller if he keeps going at the rate he's going now.

Not sure about 10 months, but I know my Fergus was just barely 31" at 9 months. Eisen was 36.5" by 10 months. It just all depends on the dog.

People say lots of stupid stuff, don't worry about it. He'll be whatever height he'll be At 10 months he'll probably get a little taller. Finn was 34ish" tall and ended up about 35".

People often think that Danes should be 38 inches tall, simply because whenever they hear Great Dane, they think GREAT like BIG. But not every Dane is 200 lbs and 38 inches.

33 inches is perfectly fine and within the average. Willow was 30.25 inches at 10 months old, and now she is only 3 weeks away from turning 2 yrs old, and STILL 30.25 inches. So I'd say he's pretty tall compared to her
