Height estimation of my pup. her dad was 35' mom 29'
Depends on the size of the grandparents as well. My boy's dam was 28" and his sire 34" and he's 34" now at 2 1/2. His grandparents on his mothers side were also smaller danes.
Zephyr CGN, RE, TT- crazy harlequin
Divine Acres Riddle Me This- regal fawn
Aww great ok. Is it not always easy to URL from the growth rate either? I mean she seems to be pretty behind and on lower end of chart in terms of growth weight an height but could she still be big dane when fully grown
Andross had a 37" daddy and a 33" mum. Hes 34" last time i measured. Lol i was measure him with a 34" baseball bat. So not big not small his dad hax euro in him. Maybe thats where he came out a Shortyboy. Lol
I'm sorry, but you seem to care more about the size of yor dog than the health of your dog. (2 threads now about your dogs size)
That's like wishing for a pretty baby instead of a healthy, happy one.
Instead, why not focus on "I sure hope my pup stays healthy" .. because I'm going to go out on a limb, and guess you didn't get your pup from a well established, reputable breeder .. or you would have a good idea of how big your pup was going to get (your breeder would know their lines and would have a pretty accurate estimate on outcome size).

A backyard breeder (BYB) is someone who has been deemed not a reputable breeder.
A "Responsible Breeder" supports their buyers, supports their own dogs, and supports the lives of any fututre puppies by having (and keeping up with) all the appropriate health testing suggested by the GDCA.

Even growth rate is no indicator. Generally height is complete by age 2, then they fill out in their 3rd year, but that can vary from line to line. It's pretty much a crap shoot.
Biglittlesmall, if you have nothing good to say then don't say anything because it appears that your the typical forum argumentative one, yes I did get mine from a reputable breeder and like many people they never no as its a guessing game. However my puppy is in good health so I'm not gonna open a thread up on here quoting your "oh gosh I hope my puppy stays healthy". would that be necessary. No .
People who own a Great Dane, would be lying if they said they are not excited for the size of there dane. So zip it

If she is behind on the growth chart and a she, then it is 90% likely she will be average or slightly small girl.
Big for a dane is anything over average, that would be 35 plus for a girl and 37 plus for a boy. big for the breed in general would mean a girl of 37 plus which is very, very rare.
But at 30 inches a Dane is going to be bigger than just about every other dog out there.
My female is 30, her head sits higher than my shoulder, and I'm 5'6 and she is 130, and really her size is fine.
If you get a girl I figure you automatically didn't expect a big for the breed dog.
The smaller or average Danes live a lot longer, most of the giants I have known are long dead, dying at 3-7 years. The super thick Euro boys seem to drop dead at 4-6, the super tall skinny ones get bone cancer.
My smaller almost 3.5 year old, had zero growth issues, no pano, no stomach issues, super mover and although I thought she'd be bigger it isnt too important.
Her dam was 34 and her sire 38 and 225 pounds, saw them both.
Angel was 28 inches tall, 90 pounds I think at 6 months, 30 at 8 months and didn't grow again. She was practically completely filled out by 9 months.
So I was a little surprised since everyone claimed they grew for 2 years.
Now my other girl lady, grew over an inch after age two, and was way smaller than Angel was at 6 months. As an adult she is almost 34 inches tall, yet she was under 60 pounds at 6 months, 31 inches at 9 months 32 for until almost age two.
Guess you never new
Wow.... Just because you don't like someone's post does not mean you have to be rude. The joys of a forum is you get an OPINION and varying ones at that from posters to your question. If you don't want all kinds of answers then don't ask.
You should hope for a healthy puppy and other posters are right.... It is a crap shoot. If you bought from a reputable breeder they should be able to give you the best guess on the size your pup may end up at. They will know more about the potential of the pup than a bunch of strangers on a forum. I doubt they would take your snotty comment very nicely.... So why should we? Eugh....

Really odd ain't it, I mitr be wrong but years back maybe the nutrition was no were near as sophisticated an wel balanced as it is now.
