      • You also need to let the rest of us know how you posted a picture that the rest of us can actually see! I don't know about anyone else, but when I post a picture, it either a. doesn't even show up, it's just a tiny x or b. it is so itty bitty you can't tell what the heck it is! This new forum is challenging LOL. Anyway, Finn is quite a handsome guy!

I have the same problems when uploading pictures to the forms using the default method... they are so tiny! I use imgur.com to upload pictures and link to it using bbcode tags. It's nice with imgur since you can automatically set the size the picture displays even if the image off your camera is huge.

            • Time for another pupdate... Finn has been growing (very!) steadily at about 0.6 lbs/day. He's currently 6 mo 3 wks old, 105 lbs, and maybe 30" at the shoulders. I've been keeping track of his weight and decided to add a trendline for fun.

It amazes me that he's growing at the same rate at 105 lbs that he was at 20! An extra 5 lbs/week looks like a lot more on a baby dane than on a teenager.

Here he is, posing in front of the Baltimore Aquarium. It was a gorgeous day and Light City was going on, so he had lots of people coming up wanting to say hi and the usual (Yes, he's a great dane. Nope, no saddle. Yes, he eats a bag of food every two weeks). Usually we are able to take him on walks and he has energy to spare, but he conked out for the rest of the day after we got home... maybe it's all the mental stimulation?

His first time playing in water. Took him a while to understand that you can't bite waves...

                  • He is gorgeous, reminds me of mine as a puppy, he stopped growing at around 12 months, but got to 36 inchs and 85kgs when he was 12 month old

                    • Oh wow, he looks beautiful even with the small pic the forum uploads. I think Finn may turn out a little smaller than your buy Zeus.

                      • 9.5m old Female, 32.5" at the shoulders and 95#..... I can't keep weight on her - she seems on the skinny side but it's NOT for a lack of feeding (8~9 cups) a day. She's very active though and some weeks she looks good and then the next she shoots up and looks super skinny again. Any trick to getting weight on them or this is just the Dane awkward growth patterns???

This is a picture I took of her this weekend. Thoughts on weight/growth...etc??

                          • Anyone have measurements for their dane at 8 months old, and measured to the top of his head? Need to ship our son's Dane to him when he is 8 months old and trying to get an idea of height to the top of head. And weight. He is a male.

                            • Another Finn update, he's almost 11.5 months old now, around 130 lbs.

Here he is at doggie day at the pool before it's drained for the Winter. Showing off how much of a goober he is...
