Sorry, if this has been asked a million times but I have a few questions...
I know what AKC and CKC stand for and a lot of people don't like the Continental Kennel Club for many reasons some are, puppy mill breeders use that club, byb breeders, or even mixed breed breeders. Now here are a few of my questions..
1. Are there any good, reliable, reputable breeders that use this kennel?
2. Is it true that's how you can start over your pedigree again?
3. Does anyone on this forum have a CKC registered dog?
4. What will happen if a akc and ckc dog breed?
6. Is this kennel club ever going to become reliable?
Thanks?

CKC will never be reliabe so long as they do things like let people register a dog by sending in three pics. Yup thats all yo have to do to register a dog with CKC.

1. Are there any good, reliable, reputable breeders that use this kennel? No, no responsible breeder EVER uses this type of registry.
2. Is it true that's how you can start over your pedigree again? No, this registration isn't even worth the paper it's written on
3. Does anyone on this forum have a CKC registered dog? There are people here who do or have had in the past before they knew the difference
4. What will happen if a akc and ckc dog breed? They will produce pups that have been irresponsibly bred
6. Is this kennel club ever going to become reliable? Most likely not since it is made up of less then responsible breeders.

We had a foster who came with CKC "papers" and had been bred multiple times. She was registered with one picture (not even the kind of picture AKC requires for a PAL registration) and just the name Ebony. She looked like she was part mastiff. I would never get a puppy with CKC registration.

1) no
2) no
3) probably
4) AKC does not accept CKC so pups from those parents would only be registered CKC.
5) probably not
