One of the few reasons I'm happy to have a girl pup, those boys can eat.
Currently, I'm feeing Festus 4 pounds a day he was eating quite a bit more than that when growing and before his meds were all figured out.
Ginnie who is 7 months old and 86 pounds is eating 3.5 pounds a day. I feed her 1.5 lbs in the morning and 2 lbs at night.
Both get quite a bit of treats throughout the day especially when training.sigpic

I seriously feed my 4.5 year old 140# male dane 1.75 pounds a day and treats probably make up the other quarter pound. Anything more, and he gets fat. If I was feeding as much as you guys (adult danes), I'd back it down a quarter of a pound for a couple of weeks and see if they hold their condition. A carnivore will sometimes simply eliminate the extra food instead of getting fat, with their shorter GI tract.Tracy
