  • 'fun' of feeding home-cooked

it's after 9PM, I was about to feed the dogs, and realized that I forgot to cook her food! Not only that - her turkey is still in the freezer! So now I have to defrost it somehow, cook it, wait until it cools down, and only then I can feed her. I wonder what time I will go to the bed tonight

I can't tell you how many times I did that when I first started homecooking for EZ, I started making up a weeks worth of meals in one day and freezing the portions. Was a PITA to get into a schedule of doing it, but it saved a boat load of time and EZ got fed at her normal times.

Well behaved danes are not born. They are “made” by responsible and caring dane owners.

UGGG. And I get frustrated when I forget to defrost the raw food!! I would be very bad at cooked diet.

That's when a can of pumpkin or sweet potato and a can of wild salmon come in handy. Mix and serve. []
Even now that I feed raw, I like to have this on hand as a backup.

that would be an option; *IF* my dog would eat it Knowing her, she wouldn't!
I was considering just skipping the dinner - but I still had to cook for next morning. So I ended up going to the bed at almost 1AM.

I feed raw but always have canned sweet potatos and mackeral on hand for this reason. Healthy left overs and eggs also work in a pinch. I do fast my boy 2-4 times a month, so could have just as easily skipped the meal.
