  • Black dane, white under the paws

I am just curious I was reading breed standards for Danes, UKC and AKC. They Say white chest markings and white on the toes are faults, but what about on the under side of the paw/leg (between pastern and foot). I just wondered.

And do people ever pluck stray colored hairs if they aren't consistent with the expected markings? Like old people plucking those chin hairs I am guessing this would be frowned upon.

Most blues and blacks have white behind their front legs. Totally normal

It is still a fault and a pure black Dane is preferred, however coat color matters very little compared to structure and breed type
