Google .. I searched for "dane forum" and DOL was top of the list lol.sigpicA backyard breeder (BYB) is someone who has been deemed not a reputable breeder.
A "Responsible Breeder" supports their buyers, supports their own dogs, and supports the lives of any fututre puppies by having (and keeping up with) all the appropriate health testing suggested by the GDCA.Comment

I found DOL while researching great danes back in 2001......found a wealth of info which led me away from the "hobby breeder" and toward the wonderful breeder who provided me with my healthy, beautiful girl and dear friend for 10 wonderful years. I also learned so much about training and was inspired to enroll in many classes and CGC. I love the site to learn more about the breed and being a better pet owner.....and it has helped the heartache of losing my girl and waiting (and waiting) for the next litter. Love, love, love DOL!Comment

same story as the rest. wanted a dane. researched a dane. im a big message board fan so i searched dane message boards, found this one and one other. I use this one the most for more serious side of things and the other for a bit of a lighter take. bought a dane and the rest is history.Comment
