Somethin Wrong with DOL Chat

I think there may be a problem with the Chat server on DOL.
I don't know how fixable it is, but I thought I should report it here in the feedback section anyway.

Its been fritzing for 2½-4 Days

I haven't renewed the contract with Real Chat, hence it's down now. I'm on the fence on whether to renew or not, as the current usage stats really don't justify the cost. Will mull it over for a few days and decide.

Have you looked into Chatzy? Another board I am on uses it, wasn't sure if this might be a cheaper or even free option? I don't know how that works.

Paul... what would it cost to get Chat back up and running?

I dont want to infringe on your personal finances.

However, I know plenty of DOL'ers would be more than willing to throw a few bucks your way to help keep chat going. How much per member would we need to donate to keep chat afloat?

I know I could donate at LEAST $40-$50 topward the save the chat fund

Sorry this is off topic but I think we should all be 'supporting members' to help w/costs of the site. I know many like chat but to me just having DOL and being a supporting member is more important. Going to make a donation now.

There is also a place to 'donate' button on the dark blue bar above. This helps go towards DOL operating costs. You can donate any amount.
